Now if I was reduced to one rifle for life – it would be the 7×57 – it is a do it all round – perfect for reindeer with a heavy for calibre bullet 173gr – flat shooting with 139 or 129gr bullets.
Some calibres work greater than their numbers – I have culled with one taking everything from Springbok to Wildebeest and Zebra – in UK Big Forest Red deer !
